I know I'm not usually one to signal boost, but I think I've got a couple other Trekkies on my flist and they are so close to making their goal that I want to try and help.

For the Love of Spock: A Documentary

This project is something that Leonard Nimoy was working on with his son, Adam, before he passed away. Adam is now trying to get the funds necessary to make it a reality. I would love to see this documentary get made and, hopefully, some of y'all would too.

Master Art Post

Acknowledgements: Thank you first and foremost to ldyghst, who chose my crazy little story for this challenge and made some absolutely lovely art for it. Despite the terrible first draft she read, ldyghst was able to create a very distinct and stylish feel for her art that complements this story more than I ever could have hoped for. She was also hella patient with me when things weren't finished on time, which I very much appreciate. Please head over to her Art Post and let her know how fabulous her art is!

dugindeep always deserves love, booze and chocolates from me when it comes to her awesomeness at brainstorming and sprinting. This year, I have to give her especial thanks for stepping in as a much-needed zero-hour beta. Don't know what I'd do without you, hon! (Fail miserably, most likely). Any inability to use the English language that still remains is totally my bad.

And finally, hooray for wendy for hosting this challenge year after year! You're awesome!

I hope you all enjoy this story!

Title: The Waters and the Wild: Part 1 - Primroses
Author: cleflink
Artist: siennavie
Pairing: Jared/Jensen preslash
Rating: PG
Word Count: 4400
Warnings: some swearing, tongue-in-cheek mentions of Jensen having a stalker
A/N: Written for the 2015 round of spn_meanttobe with some gorgeous art by the utterly incomparable siennavie! We have been doing an amazing job at just missing working with each other on a number of recent challenges, so when she asked me if I'd like to do a collaboration on this prompt, I jumped at the chance. Aaand then promptly failed to finish anything in a timely fashion because I am a terrible human being. It's been a pleasure, my dear! I look forward to building this little verse with you! Everyone, please make sure you head on over to the Art Post to tell siennavie how awesome she is!

As you can probably guess from the title, this story is the first in a series, which will be continuing later on this summer. Because I had more ideas than I gave myself the time to get down in writing and, this way, I get even more art. Huzzah. :) Also available on AO3.

Summary: In which Jensen gets a stalker who turns out to be rather more than meets the eye.

Art Post

Normally, throwing a word like "stalker" around in a police station was a good way to get people arrested, but it never quite worked that way when Jensen was involved.Collapse )

Hi all,

A kind soul on AO3 brought this issue to my attention yesterday and, since I haven't seen it appear on my LJ flist yet, I thought I would signal boost the information.

There is a website called Ebooks Tree that has been taking ebook files from various places - including AO3 - and putting them up for 'free' download for their paying customers. This is happening to published authors as well as fanfic writers, so it's kind of a big deal, but AO3 is advising any writers whose work appears on this website to submit a DMCA complaint in the hopes that it might galvanize the website to do something.

There is more information about how to go about doing this here and here.

*heavy sigh* The Internet is such a bullshit place, sometimes.

spnspringfling drew to a close last week and this is me, being fashionably on time as ever. orz I received a beautiful story from wings128, who totally knocked her first springfling out of the park. Hiatus shares a lovely moment of peace and connection between Sam and Dean in the midst of the grief caused by Dean's Mark. The descriptions are utterly gorgeous, and I adore the sense of playfulness at the end. I also love stories where Sam gets to take care of Dean, for once. So yes! Go read!

And my own offering! Which is totally not my usual style at all! Which seems to be my thing for this challenge, for some reason.

Title: I Am the Shadow on the Moon at Night
Fandom: CW RPS
Pairing: Jared/Jensen
Rating: PG
Word count: 1440
A/N: Written for riyku for spnspringfling's 2015 round. Her prompt was 'the witching hour', which I had far too much fun with. Title is from 'This Is Halloween' from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Originally posted here. Also available on AO3.

Summary: Jared's been waiting a long time for this night.

He always had worn wildness well.Collapse )

Title: The Lord of Ice and Snow
Fandom: BBC Sherlock
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Rating: NC-17
Word count: 2475
Warnings: dub-con of the god/sacrifice variety
A/N: Written for the 5th round of come_at_once for the prompt "Just because there's a little snow on the roof...". This was originally going to be a silly little bit of post-case sexytimes, but then this idea happened. I regret nothing. Aside from the fact that it is still fucking winter.
Also available on AO3.

Summary: In order to convince the Lord of Ice and Snow to let winter come to an end, the people of Monatis have arranged a sacrifice. His name is John.

Those piercing eyes wouldn"t have looked out of place on an ice drake, John couldn"t help but thinkCollapse )

Warnings: evil Sam, minor OC death
Word count: 815
Rating: R
A/N: Written for the Evil!Sam Roulette challenge at evilsam_spn, for the song prompt Despicable Me, by Pharrell. I had a tough time coming up with something that wasn't completely cracky for this song; I'm still not sure how well I succeeded on that score.
Also available on AO3.

Summary: Mid-season 5 AU. Sam's had enough.

Snagged from siennavie because why not: When you see this, share 3 random snippets from 3 WIPs.

Sherlock crouched low over the newest body in a lovely little serial killer case, nearly nose-to-nose with the corpse as he examined the ligature marks around the fleshy neck. Dark things skittered across his fingers and curled in the lees and valleys of the woman's clothing, cooing with soft, happy malice.

*

It was just a late lunch. At Jared's favourite bakery. With a guy he really liked. Who'd been coffee flirting with him for the past five weeks instead of just asking if he could borrow Jared's dick for a few hours, like he used to do. Which Jared definitely wasn't falling for. Because he was not that easy.

*

"You say one word that's meant to make me feel better and I will stab you," Jensen warned, in Dean's serious as shit voice. Say what you would about the guy, Dean knew how to sound like he was five seconds from eviscerating someone. "Okay? I will stab you."

---

Also, for anyone who missed it, my spn_reversebang story got posted this morning! Yay! Somewhere Between Hell and the Sky which is straight up Wincest dragon apocalypse AU. You didn't even know you were missing that in your life, did you?

Title: Somewhere Between Hell and the Sky
Fandom: Supernatural
Pairing: Sam/Dean
Rating: PG
Word count: 17,760
Warnings: Fantasy violence, some gore

Summary: Ever since their mom was killed in a dragon attack on the city of Lawrence, Sam and Dean have earned their living as dragon hunters. It's a decent enough gig, until Sam fails to die after being doused with dragon fire and promptly starts acting strangely even by his standards. And Dean would like to help, but between the dragons apparently being very interested in Sam and Sam apparently being very not interested in Dean's help, he's not sure which problem to tackle first.

Art Post

A/N: Written for the 2014 round of spn_reversebang. The title is from the absolutely gorgeous song Silver Islet by Poor Angus.

A massive thank you to my lovely artist soserendipity, who contended with a brutal lack of free time to create the art for this challenge. I think we were both perhaps too patient with each other, my dear, but it all worked out in the end! Her submission caught my imagination immediately, so much so that I forsook my familiar realm of J2 for opportunity to write for it. All of the art she has created is beautiful and unique, and I only hope that my SPN-fu is sufficient to do it some justice with the story. Go and see and leave her much love at her Art Post!

Thanks ever and always to dugindeep for cracking the whip and also helping with the problem-solving stages of this one.

And thanks to the mods for running this challenge and also for their patience with our scheduling mix up!

Title: To Feel Without Touch
Fandom: BBC Sherlock
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Rating: PG
Word count: 5245
Warnings: UST. A somewhat gory crime scene description
A/N: Written for amindaya for the Winter 2014 round of holmestice. I was perhaps not meant to take them together, but se offered both 'magic realism' and 'touch starvation' as prompts, and this is what became of it. Originally posted here.
Also available on AO3.

Summary: John lost his career as a surgeon, his life in the army and his empathy in one fell swoop. He never thought he'd miss the last one so much.

It was unnatural: touch without empathy.Collapse )

It was inspired by my story Gently Play Upon Your Heartstrings, and depicts a lovely moment between the boys.
